What began as a small protest march through the Davie Village has blossomed into a Pride Parade attracting not only supporters within the LGBT community in Vancouver but friends worldwide. Spanning 20 blocks and attracting an audience of over 600,000 in 2009, VESTA members are encouraged to go see the Parade on August 1st, 2010 to see what all the fuss is about! — Or even better, join along with the VSB entry.
In 2010, the Pride Parade will start in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The Parade begins at 12:00, Sunday August 1st at Robson and Thurlow, heads West down the hill to Denman street, follows Denman to Pacific and Beach Avenue and finishes at the Sunset Beach Festival Site.
The BCTF will be following the implementation of full-day Kindergarten carefully. If your school is implementing FDK in September, please complete our questionnaire. For those teaching FDK this fall, check out our web page for background information, ministry documents, and BCTF workshop details. More
